Mass tourism: a modern epidemic

As a pre-task, participants recorded some videos reflecting the situation of tourism or other industries in their areas. After sharing them, they elaborated the week task in international groups: design some sustainable holiday in Ibiza.

Dealing with different fields: activities, transport, consumerism and gastronomy, the students created a poster and a leaflet which answered the question “How could we organize our sustainable holidays in Ibiza?”. As a result, wonderful ideas came out. For transport: less cars better public transport and bicycle lanes, Gastronomy: using local product and recipes and if needed transport use sustainable transport. Consumerism; kinetics floors in clubs, reusable glasses made of acrylic and silent disco. Lastly, activities: using animals and non-energy boats and visiting local markets. E.g., Llaut Iberico, horseback riding, kayaking and paddleboarding, esparto grass workshop, visiting a ecological farm and snorkling. Link on the photo to enjoy the products information.
